A track that highlights the ills of the country was on Tuesday released by the Reggae/Dancehall prodigy Epixode, to foster change and development.
Dubbed “wahala dey,” it is four minutes-two seconds length and it spells out the need for politicians to imitate the good works of the former president, Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
Speaking exclusively to degraftpr.co.uk in an interview on Monday in Accra, ahead of the release of the track, the dancehall singer bemoaned that, when Nkrumah declared “Ghana our beloved country is free forever” the citizenry were expecting to break from all the bondages and suffering, yet the plight kept amplifying as the days went by.
He said people wept due to the ‘rot’ and corruption bedeviling the country, stressing that talented individuals did not get needed support and mediums to showcase their talents.
According to him the security were not beefing up efforts in tackling crime issues and securing the society from harm.
That, Epixode noted has increased crime and other illegal activities, hence called on all the citizenry to act right to make the nation a better place for everyone.
He reiterated the need for the individuals to be patriotic and act in a manner that would enhance development in the country.
The track was produced and mixed by Dream Jay with refined guitar sound and bass by Odikro and Steve.

Die in the wool fans of the self acclaimed dancehall King, Shatta Wale have expressed pleasure by the rate the artiste was constantly receiving international collaborations.
According to them, the ‘I know my level’ hitmaker was assumed by many as a local champion and could only attract local people, stressing that his collaborations have shut critics.
Just after the founder of Shatta Movement (SM) got featured on the American Rhythm and Blues goddess, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter’s Lion King Album, the musician hit another historic feature from a top American hip hop artiste, Mariah Lynn.
Speaking exclusively to degraftpr.co.uk in Accra on Thursday, the fans stated that the dancehall singer promised the year would be a breakthrough year for his brand and it came to pass.
“Shatta Wale said that 2019 is for big things and indeed big things are happening, this collaboration is positive news for the industry,” they said.
Sir Walker indicated that the collaboration was a sign that the industry was being recognised and a little push would fine tune it.
He observed that Nigerians were grooming their artistes well to attract international collaborations and called for Ghanaians to do same.
In order for the country’s artistes to attract foreign collaboration, Akosua Boatemaa stated that key industry players had to put much effort in the selling of the country’s art.
She underscored the need for the country to scrap out shows that sell Nigerian artistes at the expense of the local artistes, adding that they should organise shows that could sell the country’s artistes to attract foreign collaborations and investors.
Akosua Boatemaa expressed joy about the way Shatta wale broke grounds to sell his brand to the international market and urged other artistes to emulate his steps.
